Lift Your Glass!

We just returned from a Greek Isles cruise that started and stopped in Barcelona, Spain.  Sure, I’ll bring you the latest and greatest tips, tidbits, and recipes from these great adventures, but first, you need to just take a moment to toast to Life.  It’s all so fragile.  Choose your beverage, but definitely choose a delightfully memorable piece of stemware.

Consider the beautiful hand-painted lines by Bellismo and many other designers.  In celebrating the sights, sounds, and savory flavors of Barcelona, a few I’ve seen really stand out.

I especially favor those with grapes and vines twirling around the glass.  Some include the names of favorite wines scripted in bronze amid elaborate clusters of grapes exquisitely hand painted in various hues of purple with golden accents.  Swirling grape vines and leaves complete these designs.

Other designs that make me think “Barcelona” are those with nouveau style modern art shapes or anything that hints of Art Deco.  Look for fun hand-painted angular components in colors or mixed metallics.

Because of the lush Mediterranean setting, I would be remiss if I failed to suggest styles that feature lush greenery and palm trees.

No matter what you’re serving at your party, serving beverages in beautiful collectible glasses lets  you pour and enjoy… your beverages AND the compliments… with love and laughter!
