Must Love Dogs (and other wonderful pets)

When a great dog writes a great book, he’s far from barking up the wrong tree!  “Dog Days in the Life of the Miles-Mannered Man” is a heart-warming and hysterical collection of tall tales, wagging tails, and tantalizing treats.

After all the “atta-boys” for his limited edition hard cover, Miles’ book is finally widely available as an easy Kindle eBook and in paperback.  This dog book makes a superb gift for anyone… or yourself, if you’ve been good!

Along with all of Miles’ paws-itively relatable stories, four special treats are included FREE!   They include:

  • Presidential Pooches (& other White House pets)
  • Other Famous & Heroic Dogs
  • Miles’ Favorite Recipes
  • Dog Quotes & Jokes with the  Miles Paw of Approval

So… get your copy, at places like Amazon.com; then grab a biscuit and a cool bowl of milk and enjoy the “Miles-Mannered Man.”  Woof!

PS. Oh, and there are a few other titles from Quiet Thunder Publishing, as well.

Yikes, no! I love to research and write, but I always credit the various sources of my info! This info was compiled from several places, all listed, but I wrote it totally. Thanks for your question though.

    • admin says:

Also, as with most of the material, Miles’s book is 100% original material. If this posting or any of my articles appear on other sites, it is merely because they pirated them. It would be nice if they would at least provide a link back to my original site, though, wouldn’t you think?

I love the book! Miles is a genius or a comedian or both. Plus I never thought of making special treats for my dog. Thanks for the great ideas. They also seem just about as easy as opening the box. Thank you Miles.

Miles, in true dog fashion, would eat ANYthing! But let’s be serious… bring on the special goodies and get ready for ultra enthusiasm. Lots of folks make every bit of food for their 4-legged friends. For most of us, giving our beloved fur-balls a homemade treat now and then simply makes us all feel extra special.

For those who haven’t yet snagged a copy of Miles’ book, we’ll include a couple of his recipes for you. Bear in mind that these come directly from the book, so they are “spoken” by Miles himself.

“I’ll start with my all-time absolute favorite recipe. It was created by my Cathy human’s Dad, Bob Burnham. Because she calls him Poppy, that makes him my Grand Poppy. He says these are not just treats; he says they also make me even smarter! I just know they taste GREAT.

        Grand Poppy’s Brain Food

      Ingredients:
      Chunk of fresh beef liver

      Directions:
Place the liver in a large pot of boiling water. Reduce the heat and simmer 10 minutes. Drain and rinse till cool. Cut liver in small, bite-sized pieces.
Place a few (one day’s portion) in several small snack-sized plastic bags and freeze all but one bag. Store the bag you are using in the refrigerator.

      Tip:
You can save the water from cooking the liver, if you’d like… it is GREAT poured into ice cube trays and frozen as treats for us four-legged folks!

        Upgraded Cheap Cookies

I’ve told you how I love what we call “Cheap Cookies.” Okay, they’re called “ice cubes” in human lingo. They are GREAT in the summer, especially. However, for variety, try this upgrade.

      Ingredients:
2 cans chicken or beef broth
Small pieces of cooked chicken or beef

      Directions:
Place a bit of chicken or beef in each ice cube tray. Pour broth over and freeze. AWESOME!

      Note:
Except for really large dogs, only fill each ice cube tray ¼ to ½ full.
Also… you can use just one can of broth and one can of water, if you prefer an “enlightened” cookie. (Ha-ha-ha… even we dogs can do plays on words!)”

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
